There was blood in my underwear last night but when I went to the toilet there was absolutely no trace at all of any blood. I know women can bleed in pregnancy. I just can't help worrying. I had a few twinges in my tummy afterwards too, but bubbly is moving around lots and have had nothing today. I can't see that i was doing anything to cause this either. Just wondered if anybody else has had the same?

I also have a cold too. I knew I'd get one. Is there any risk to the baby when mother is unwell?

Ive never bled that far into a pg but I think a midwife would just want to see you if it became heavier, fresh and red. You should just give them a wee call though, to be on the safe side.
As for your cold, you cant take much. The baby willl be okay but unfortuantly you will feel rubbish. You can have a few paracetemol but not anything like lemsip. Have a hot cup of tea, no milk and put a drop of honey in it.

Keep an eye on things & do mention it to your m/w when you see her next.
Your baby will be fine even if you're un-well. They take all the goodness & leave you with the crap so don't worry about that!

That's good to know. I don't mind feeling ill as long as baby is OK.

I'm confused about the blood. It did look red. There wasn't a lot but it was just a tiny bit either, but was still a small stain. I've never known to bleeding where there is no trace of it either. When I went to the toilet the tissue was white as a sheet.

I was just about to ask if coughing so much could hurt bubbly. I always get a very bad cough with a cold, but then I remembered that baby is very well protected.
