question about ovulation

hiya so I use clearblue fertility monitor and I get my peak every month, and my period comes exactly 14 days after my first peak. Does this mean I ovulate on the day of my first peak not the second?
what do you think? One of the doctors told me that I would get my period exactly 14 days after I ovulate.
I think if thats the case I need to have more sex leading up to my first peak and maybe not so much after that? any opinions?

14 days is like textbook.. and of course all our bodies at different. Some of us have slightly shorter luteal phases and some slightly longer. Typically anywhere from 12 - 16 days. Ovulation usually happens 24 to 36 hours after a peak result so it could just be that your luteal phase is shorter than 14 days xx

ah I see, so it does mean that I need to have sex before my peak than right? we usually bd a lot more on the 1st and 2nd peak days maybe thats too late?

Everybody has a different length luteal phase. Yours may be 14 days but it could be 13 or 12. You need to sex before ovulation anyway. The Clear Blue 4 day advanced opk is good because it gives you lot of warning. Yes I would try to also have sex before the peak. Once a day is enough...any more and you are affecting the quantity. You need to get the sperm in the couple of days before ovulation.
