I see alot of ladies have spoken about it and at the risk of sounding abit stupid what actually is it and with it seeming to help fertility what mg dosage are people taking?
I've had a quick look on hollend and barret and they sell different mg dosages.
I'm willing to try anything at this point to put my mind at rest that we are doing everything we can to boost fertility.

It's an enzyme that your body makes naturally, it basically protects cells from damage. As you get older your body makes less of it so is less able to protect cells from damage. What it does for fertility is it improves your body's ability to protect your eggs from getting damaged by aging/free-radicals/toxins. So it can help with the overall quality of eggs. Men can take it too as it does the same thing for protecting sperm. It also does the same thing to skin cells which is why it's in a lot of face creams.

I've never taken it so not sure about dosage or anything (there'll be someone around who can help with that) but I know it takes around 3 months to work! Maybe start on a low dose if you're young (under 30) and a higher one if you're over 35.

Thanks hun that helps alot and yea I'm is it under 30 got 2 years till I hit that milestone which I'm dreading lol.

You probably have pretty healthy eggs then, but taking the CoQ10 won't hurt. :)

Pretty much what WinterWolf said.

We tried it and both of us took it as motility had been an issue for OH. We didn't last long on it as it's expensive especially with both of us taking it. I think from memory we started at about 100mg but I can't really remember and just got it from Holland and Barrett.

It was one of the later things we tried and as WinterWolf says it generally takes around 3 months for anything like that to take effect so I can't really say whether I thought it genuinely helped us or not.

Thanks ladies I spoke to my OH about it and he actually said he wants to get this one because he did his own research on it LMAO

I was told myo-ioinostol was good for egg quality. I have been taking this 8 weeks'ish dont know if working but its easy enough to take and is a tasteless powder

I swear by coq10 but for fertility it needs to be high dose. Don't bother with Holland and Barrett. Look on Amazon if you're going to get it. I was on around 3000mg a day. Also, if you're not taking high dose vit d, I would add that on too as helps with fertility in both men and women xx

I done a bit of research on coq10 after I got worried about my egg quality after 2 miscarriages, as someone else has said it does need to be a high dose, at least 300mg a day, I seen some ladies preparing for ivf on 600mg a day! Costco do 300mg tablets of it in a large tub for about 25 quid, the ones you get in boots and Holland and Barrett etc are low dose and super expensive! Xx

I got my dosing wrong. I looked back on Amazon and my tabs were 400mg. I used to take 2 a day x

I took 300mg a day, and got pregnant 3 months after I started this after nearly 2 years of trying.

Thanks ladies we have ordered some off Amazon they are 300mg so fingers crossed they get here soon OH has said he is going to take them aswell to help with his swimmers and he's gotten me some vitamin d from Amazon aswell

Vit d would be great for him to take too. My OHs swimmers improved massively after taking well man and additional vitamin d xx

Thanks hun think he's going to kill me all the stuff I keep suggesting but he is also being awesome to

Something I would suggest especially if your OH is being supportive is to get him to be your voice of reason. My OH was so good too and willing to try things etc but I wish I'd got him to do that sooner as it's so easy to get caught up into trying everything at once and spending a small fortune!! It will do you so much good if he wants to be involved as you'll feel like so much more of a team which is just so much better when things seem tough. A lot of ladies on here find it more difficult when they feel like their OH isn't putting as much effort in as they are.
