They give petal away and whilst giving petal away honey starts to realise that she has starting growing an attachment but as the social worker takes her away honey bursts into tears but still lets her go and decides its not enough and she is no longer petals mom.
Before they took her away billy wrote a letter to petal to read when she grows up telling her how he loves her and who her real parents are.
Petal then has to go in for a major operation the next week and billy goes to be by her side but honey refuses to go and see her saying she isnt her daughter anymore. Billy wants to have petal baptised so they take her to the chapel. honey finds the letter billy has wrote to petal and finds it so moving that she goes to the hospital and tells them she wants petal to be baptized janet because she has now realised that she is the baby that is meant to be for them.
The operation goes well.
