Hi all,

I'm 24 weeks and looking into pushchairs. My Mum is really keen on Silver Cross due to its name and reputation, we liked the Surf 3 but the basket is really tiny so we looked at the Pioneer instead. Then DH and I went to Mamas and Papas and liked the Ocarro. Now just seen the Quinny Zapp Flex Plus online and have just really confused myself!

Any advice on pros/cons for these makes/pushchair models would be greatly appreciated! We are looking to get a carrycot with whichever pushchair. (I know not everyone feels it's necessary with car seats that click on and many pushchair seats can have newborn inlays in but we've decided it's something we would like.)

Thanks in advance. :)

I liked the pioneer, it was on my shortlist but in the end I went for the egg. I just liked it better, plus I found it on offer cheaper than the pioneer.

I don't have a car seat that clicks on, I use the carrycot as I think it is better for baby. I don't really find too much of a hardship having to move him from one to the other, although i can see it would be quicker in the rain!

I usually go for a pushchair that the car seat clips on for the simple fact the baby usually falls asleep in the car so to save disturbing him/her it's sometimes the easier option. Obviously everyone's opinions differ, that's just my personal preference.
I had a bugaboo chameleon 3 with my 1st and a baby Jogger city Select with my 2nd. I much preferred the bugaboo though so used that a lot with my 2nd too. It seemed a lot more comfortable, glided when pushing it and was easy to get up and down once you got the hang of it.

We have a bugaboo donkey which has been worth every penny having three so close together and I love it. My sister in law had the surf and her sister had the pioneer both with their first babies. They then had second babies about 20 months later and ditched the silver crosses in favour of mamas and papas armadillo type prams - they said the silver cross ones were much heavier and awkward. I remember my brother getting into terrible trouble for saying my bugaboo was easier to use than theirs - his wife was furious lol x

I've had a Quinny and an Oyster Max. The Quinny was much lighter and much nicer imo, but I had to switch to the Oyster Max as I needed a double. I'm not sure I would buy it again if I didn't need it, it's very heavy and awkward.
