I developed a very itchy rash on my belly in the stretchmarks when I was about 34 wks pregnant. I didn.t think much of it as I put it down to the skin stretching and the heat,a nd the midwife didn't seem concerned either.
Since I gave birth last Sunday however the rash has spread. It now covers my entire abdomen, my feet, my sides, my wrists, and I have itchy palms and soles of my feet. The doctors are closed and I have no more midwife visits planned in, and no idea when the health visitor is coming.
Am I still able to call the Labour Ward to seek advice from the midwives there, or would I be better calling NHS direct. I feel a bit like I'm in limbo as havent seen midwife since wed and she hasnt made an appointment to see me. The itching is literally driving me insane!
It sounds alot like PUPPP from our own research, but who knows!
