Progesterone Gel

Hi, Anyone had any experience with progesterone gel? I have been prescribed it in early pregnancy for the next 5wks and was just wondering what anyone else thought of it.

Are you a high risk pregnancy for any reason? I've not been prescribed it but read about it reducing the risk of mc.

Kim, I had an early loss last year and been told my progesterone levels are low which was making it difficult to get pregnant. Was on IVF list and conceived naturally so hoping this will help me keep pregnancy. No-one has mentioned high risk yet tho I haven't actually seen anyone-only phonecalls.

Yes i had to have crinone gel after getting pregnant as they were concerned my levels were low. I took the crinone gel but they also gave me oestrogen tablets and progesterone suppositories - i was basically taking everything via every route lol. The crinone gel is easy to put in, but the remnants can be off putting. Sometimes you might have varying odd coloured discharge but this is all normal apparently. I don't recall having any significant side effects and i had to use the gel twice daily.

If the doctors have prescribed it, it's a good thing. H&H 9mths x

Thanks Mrs Law. I've just noticed you're expecting identical twins. So exciting. Good to hear u got on ok with all the medication.

Tmi but my cm seems to have disappeared since starting gel. Not sure if it's the cause/ or a problem.
