Private renting and credit checks

Well have found this really nice house and put down money for agency fee, but they have to do a credit check on me and my garantor (sp?) My garantor will be fine, Im just worried about me. What will the estate agents be looking for?

i work in an lettings agency - so i know a lot about these kinds of things.

Do you have bad credit is that what you are worried about - as long you have put this down on the application form and your guarantor will pass you should be ok

thanks for your reply... i dont think i have bad credit, all i have is a loan and an over draft... could that affect things?

I work in lettings to - as long as you don't have any 'bad debts' you shoud be fine, things like credit cards and loans (as long as you are making your regular payments) shouldn't affect it.
