We tried Conceive Plus for a bit as I didn't have much cervical mucus at the time. I didn't get pregnant but think it was due to other issues. We don't use it now as my cervical mucus is much better. I would recommend trying either that or preseed if she is quite 'dry'; alternatively, she could take supplements to try and increase her mucus.
Have you got any reasons to think she may have any kind of an issue? Are her periods regular, for example? I only ask because my lack of cervical mucus was due to a hormonal imbalance resulting from PCOS. I am sure this is not the case for you though. X
The best thing you can do is go back to your GP and get a referral to the fertility clinic. How old are you both? Each area has different criteria but as long as she is between 23-38 most areas will refer ladies in that age range provided neither of you have any living children. Then they can run tests for you and see why it is taking you so long and see if there is any treatment you can be offered.
If you don't want to go to your GP then you can both do some simple things to increase your chances - eat well, don't smoke, keep drinking to a minimum, take your vitamins and have sex at her fertile time of the month. If you are both a 'normal' weight (BMI under 30 and over 20) that helps too.
Drinking lots of water will help with ewcm, if she isn't hydrated her body won't be able to make it.

Go to another doctor, the fact it took you 7 years to conceive should make you able to be referred in spite of your mc. I am being treated under the fertility clinic (had my most recent appointment this week) and I'm less than 4 weeks after a mc and we talked about our treatment plan and I was given the go ahead and the drugs for our ovulation induction - so a recent mc doesn't cancel out a referral if you have been struggling ttc.
I agree you should try a different doctor. Some women have multiple miscarriages and so get pregnant a number of times but have never had a live birth - they still get referred after a certain length of time and rightly so. The doctor didn't even do tests did he? We had some tests before our referral. Definitely try it. X
