Hi everyone, my name is Nic and I've just found out I'm pregnant!

My husband and I are both absolutely over the moon, although it did happen much quicker than we expected - I stopped taking the pill just 7 weeks ago!

For a start I think the home tests are lying - I took 2 and the pregnant line came up straight away but I've got it into my head that they are faulty tests!

I'm totally unprepared and have no-one to talk to about it. Its 4 weeks since I ovulated so apparently that makes me 6 weeks pregnant?!

I don't feel pregnant at all and I think I should feel different! But I just feel the same.

And I don't want to tell anyone because I'm terrified I'm going to lose it because its all happened so quickly!

Any advice or just someone to talk to would be really appreciated!

Thanks, Nic.

 Hello Nic

I havent been on here that long myslef!!!!! Congratulations on your BFP!!!

The tests are not faulty ha ha I ended up buying 8 in the long run! Have you gone onto a due date calendar? If you put your dates in it will help with how long gone you are!!!

I havent told anyone but close family because I an just a worrier!!

How you feeling in yourself?

Hi, and thanks! What does BFP stand for?!

I haven't really done anything becuase I'm worried its too early - I'm trying not to get too excited just in case and haven't told anyone at all.

Which is horrible because I'm desperate to tell everyone!

I just feel exactly like normal and sort of wish for some symptoms to feel like I am acually pregnant! When will the symptoms start?!

Welcome...

BFP= Big Fat Positive (the opposite of BFN - Big Fat Negative).

Well you are very similar to me, I came off the pill after 18 years of taking it non stop, and was pregnant within 6 weeks.

I had my 21 week scan last week, and baby is very healthy......

Dont worry I had very few symptoms throughout my pregnancy, and no sickness at all (thank goodness :D ).

It does eventually sink in, but generally when you have your 12 week scan and see a tiny baby jumping around :D

We all worry constantly, so its totally normal to feel the way you do - I am sure you will have a very healthy and happy nine months....

Hello
If you put your details in here, it will tell you how far on you are which will give you an indication of when symptoms could kick in http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/duedate/

I didnt feel pregnant either until the morning sickness started that is. Early on, it all seems a bit wierd. When you have your first scan you will defo feel preggers and you'll feel a connection with your baby. Well i certainly did. Wish you a blissful pregnancy.
