Hello all

Some of you may have seen my post last month informing I sadly lost my baby at 7 weeks. 5 weeks after the bleed, no period but Saturday I got 2 positive pregnancy tests with really clear blue lines!

I'm lost for words I can't quite believe it!!!
I didn't think it would happen so soon but I am worried sick and anxious!!
I'm trying to take each day as it comes and not overthink it.

I've self referred to the women's and children's and it says they will send your appointment out to you in the pos around 8 weeks.! When referring yourself there was no option in the form to mention previous miscarriages. So I thought I would give them a call this morning to see if it would be possible to get an early scan due to the recent loss. They have confirmed this is something they won't do. However I did feel whilst at the hospital last month they did tell me that it was possible to do an early scan.

I was just wondering if anyone has every managed to get an early scan or if not is it worth going private?

Thank you for any advice!

I hope you all all having happy and healthy pregnancies! 🌈💕

Congrats @Aebx that's great news!

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 7w5d end of June and I'm now 6w pregnant...we had a month off then got pg first month of ttc again...still shocked it's happened that quickly but I've read that recent studies have shown there's no medical reason to wait to start ttc, it's more a case of when you feel emotionally and physically ready, which is reassuring.

I have days where I'm really positive and thinking the odds are surely in our favour this time, and others when the anxiety is really bad. Just trying to take each day and week as it comes.

We have booked a private scan for November 9th when I'll be around 8w4d...counting down! We knew we wouldn't be able to wait until 12 weeks and at £70 I think it's worth it personally. Do you think you'll book one?

Hi I got an early scan at 6weeks and then at 9 with my last pregnancy but that was because of my history of miscarriages I rang through to the EPU and got booked in sadley for me it ended in miscarriage but fingers crossed for you!!

Hi,

Congrats on the good news! I had a MC in July and then another the following cycle in September. My EPU have told me that (hopefully) when I get pregnant again, if I get to 6 weeks then they’ll give me an early scan. Maybe it depends on what health authority you are under if they’ll let you?

If you do consider going private then definitely wait until the 7 week mark so there’s a bit more to see or so that’s what I’ve been told and read on here.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months :clover: <3

Thank you for all your replies.

I've bought some pregnancy tests to do on days I need reassurance. I did one last night and the line was solider than ever, even more than my last pregnancy.

Going to do these during the next few weeks and book an early scan when I think I'm around 7 weeks.
Taking each day as it comes! I'm thinking of the positives and just feeling lucky to even be in this position again.
