pregnant after d&c

hi girls found out i was pregnant again exactly 8 weeks to the day of my d&c. I havnt had af inbetween and only did the hpt as af hadnt arrived after 8 weeks. im fairly sure its a new pregnancy but as yet havnt really got any symptoms and just wondered if it is even possible to still have hcg show up after 8 weeks. think its coz its happened fast. doctors appt monday, just any advice as dont wana get too excited.

thanx hun i feel more positive than last time, just had a slight doubt in my head that it could be left over hormones from misscarriage/d&c. i did a boots hpt and 2 lines came up daek and within 40 seconds! so not sure what to think xx

Within 40seconds, well that sounds very promising to me as my tests came up very quickly as well.

i hope so, think im just worrying as iv had no af between d&c its making me doubt that its a new pregnancy. but surely the hcg would be very low by then so test lines wouldnt be as strong? iv gota chill this time x

Yer 8wks is a pretty long time, maybe because of the D&C your body tricked itself into believing AF had already visited?

thanx hun, well thats what i thought, but wasnt sure but trying to be positive!. no real symptoms as yet just a bit more tired/grumpy than usual, n little bit off in a morning but not sickness n crampy back pains. worried tho as i had a few drinks over bank hol wen i didnt think i would be pregnant! x

yeah thats a good point! didnt think about that! the 2 lines came up literally 40 secs later n the test line is as dark almost as the control line! x

Hey hun...I had a naturla MC on 1st march and am now 11 weeks with new pregnancy...docs will prob send you for hcg beta testing (where they take two blood tests 48hrs apart ) just to confirm but I would say you are pretty safe to say it a new one fingers crossed xxxx

I've been reading up on this mainly due to what's happened to me this weekend apparently you are highly fertile after a mc for approximate three months.
