preeclampsia?? 29 week's.. help!!

Hello, let me tell you my story. I had preeclampsia with my first daughter, 8 years ago! She was delivered by c section at 26 week's. She spent 3 months in hospital but is fine now. I'm am now 29 + 1 and have been in and out of hospital having a few scares! My blood pressure concludes as being fine, I have had the odd trace of protein in my urine but only the 1+. The thing that is now bothering me is a slightly high reading for uric acid in my blood. The midwife is very vague. Could you please let me know your experiences with this. Is this the sign of it happening again? Is uric acid alone enough to worry about?? Will it stop my baby's growth? Many thanks and happy Xmas

It was my Uric acid count that led them to diagnose preeclampsia. I had 2+ of protein in my urine at first. Eventually I had +4. My BP was only borderline high at first and settled down by itself when I was being monitored. The consultant was pretty sure my bloods would come back negative, but my Uric acid was 450. The upper limit for a normal reading was 360 and it increased again before I was induced. I was lucky as I didn't get diagnosed until 37 weeks so I was term when they decided to deliver. I'd ask your midwife when you next see her. Xx

Same with me. My bp was only 130 over 90 (high for me) but had 3+ protein, which on their own was fine but the unix acid came back as double (I think) what it should be so that's what diagnosed it x
