Ive just used it for the first time and it is fab! I bought it not because I dont have much CM, but because I seem to have to buy anything that could possibly help us conceive, Well I was very impressed indeed. Without going into too much detail, the sex was amazing! (Im not coming on here just to brag honestly!) I dunno if anyone else gets initial pain in sex? Well I didnt get that at all this time, it was far more comfortable. And if its creating the perfect environment for sperm to live in then its got to be good.

Would I be right in saying that if the sperm is in the perfect environment that it will live for longer? Does that mean I have more of a chance to conceive now that Ive used it early on? E.g. its possible for sperm to survive in EWCM for up to 5 days, so will it work the same for Pre-seed?

as you know, I have a condition affecting the nerve endings which means sex is horrendously painful. DH and I had managed it three times in 10 years (can't believe he's still with me! ). When I'd discussed ttc with my consultant, the best solutions were local anaesthetic cream (didn't work cos it hurt too much to apply), anti-depressants to block the neural receptors in the brain, or a local anaesthetic injection each month...

I can't say pre-seed makes it enjoyable yet, but it's no longer painful and sometimes isn't even uncomfortable still depends on the position, but it's made a huge difference to us!

yes, pre-seed will help the sperm to live longer, but not necessarily 5 days... depends on other environmental factors and the sperm themselves. Think of it like a bottle of lucozade sport - energy drink might help you complete a 60 min class when previously you flagged at 40 minutes, but it's not going to give you the instant ability to run a marathon... so don't give up BDing 3 days before ov!

oh and you may decide that you only need half a sachet each time... gets quite messy otherwise I wipe the sachet with a babywipe, wrap it in clingfilm and stick it in the fridge for use later that day/the next day (wouldn't leave it longer than 24 hours). The cold adds a certain frisson too

Haivng good sex and baby making is the way too go loola, lots of people find ithard when there regismentady shagging for baby making every month.

I sometimes find sex painful depending on the what part of the month we do it but since using pre-seed its been brilliant which is a fantastic bonus to the whole trying to conceive thing.

Trust me the last 10 months of 'babymaking' sex have not been the best, hence why I was so amazed that the pre-seed made so much of a difference. Even with all the EWCM in the world its not been that comfortable. Obviously it still helps that you really want to do it. Im hoping: positive thinking + pre-seed = baby!

I have started to use it this month too! Yes it is fab with it makes sex brill. Did use the whole tube first time but ended running down my leg GROSS! only used half tube last nite but threw the rest away, can you keep it then once opened????

I also find that sperm does not ooze out as much after sex with pre seed so the little buggers proberly are riding the preseed highway!!!1

I think it's fab too, highly recommend it.

You shouldn't reuse an opened tube though, you might get an infection so be careful on that front.

Bagpuss is right, you shouldn't re-use, and it says not to. However, needs must... last cycle I unexpectedly ovulated on CD7 and the pre-seed was still in the post! I had 2 tubes of pre-seed left... and given BDing wasn't an option without the pre-seed, I thought I'd chance infection. This probably sounds gross, but when you squeeze the tube, remove it whilst still squeezing and wipe it with a babywipe. At least that way you don't suck anything into the tube whilst it's in you I used half of one tube on the evening of the +OPK, then the rest the next morning, then the second tube that evening and the following morning. I was fine. I don't really like the idea of doing it, and if I had several tubes left, I don't think I would, but I think if you're careful to clean, clingfilm, and refrigerate it and use the rest within 8 hours, you'd be pretty unlucky to give yourself any problems. I got the tip from an FF thread, where several women said that's what they do as a matter of course, with no ill-effects.

Having said all that - the hassle of doing all of that post-BD (obviously I had to get DH to go to the fridge as I was stuck with my legs in the air! ) isn't worth it for the cost of the tubes, even though they're not cheap! Fortunately, I ordered 24 tubes and they came in time for this cycle

by the way - I also bought the sachets of Pre (with an accent) - the cheaper ones that don't kill sperm but don't nourish it. I thought they'd be useful for other times of the month. Firstly, the sachets are bloody fiddly (they're like the little sample sachets of moisturing cream you get in magazines) - you tear them open and the contents go everywhere. Secondly, the stuff's really watery. They don't work for me at all, partly because it's the tube applicator that's so great for me, but also because the consistency just makes you worry that you've just peed in the bed... or worse, that your DH has!

How much do you get in a pack or how long would it last if BDing every other night?
Speaking of which... how is it going for you and your OH BDing every other night? My OH is exhausted He even went out and bought an exercise bike over the weekend so that he could keep fit for BDing.

at your OH buying an exercise bike! Now THATS dedication. My OH is ok so far, though Mondays night of passion took ages to happen cos neither of us were really in the mood and just couldnt stop giggling.
I had shown him the pre-seed but he seems to have forgotten, and I havent told him that Ive been using it, so he thinks Ive been really wet and that seems to have turned him on! Bless him, what he doesnt know wont hurt him!

I bought a six pack of pre-seed, so thats 6 applicators worth, however, if I used a whole applicator in one it would be very messy indeed, so Ive done what Kitty recommended, thats wiping the tip with a babywipe then covering in clingfilm and putting in the fridge. I used the second half the other night. So I guess that means 12 babydances!

Im looking forward to round 3 tonight!
