Hi ladies

I was 23 weeks on Monday when my waters broke fully! I am currently in hospital on bed rest being monitored for infections. I was scanned yesterday which showe that the baby only have 5cm of fluid remaining where this should be 16/30 for gestational age

I have been given steroid injections but also told by neonatal consultant that chances of babay surviving if water doesn't replenish are slim due to lung an kidney development. I continue to leak fluid

I'm not sure if I should be posting here or on another board but has anybody had any experience of this?

Thanks

Steph xxx

Hi. I have no experience of this, but just wanted to say good luck. I hope all works out for the best. Xx

Hi, this happened to a friend at 30 weeks and she was kept in and managed to go to 35 weeks with no fluid. As you say the key thing to prevent is infection but it's very possible for baby to stay put for weeks. Fingers crossed for you x

Hi Steph, we lost our daughter Rebecca at 23 weeks after a womb infection caused me to go into labour, unfortunately I was told that as I was so far into labour trying to stop the process with steroids couldve proved fatal for me.

Though youre early things are more positive for you. I'llbe thinking about you. Please keepin touch

Take care xx
