When it comes to prams, or travel systems in particular, do you really get what you pay for?
I am just past the half way mark now and after searching through shops we decided we were not going to spend a large amount on a travel system as it wasn't going to be used for a great length of time and I only plan on having this one baby (at least for now), so there really was no point in us spending a fortune when that money could go on other things the baby will need.
Eventually we decided we would go for a mid range system for around £350 with everything included, and the ones we had seen really looked nice too.
Hubby then told me he had seen a trio set online that was on offer, the PRP was meant to be over £300 but they were now only £100 for clearance. They only had one colour which I'm not overly keen on but hubby liked it so I went along with it as I'm not all too bothered as long as it does the job. As they used to be stocked in a shop local to us and it was from a reputable website we decided to just go for it and see what it was like.
When it arrived I was really excited but as soon as I opened it, it just looked really cheap compared to the others we had seen. Its not horrific but its not what I expected either, considering it claimed the prp was over £300. It is usable, but I'm concerned that because it looks cheap, it is made cheap. Now all I can think to myself is if its safe and if it will last as long as we need it to etc. However for all I know most other travel systems could be made the same way.
The one we have is the Hauck Miami 4 trio set
Hubby thinks its great but I'm not convinced...
Is it worth keeping or should we look into getting something else?
Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated
