Help someone any tips on potty training i cant manage to get lewis to sit on his potty or anything (well he does sit on it but not to do anything)! i have tried all sorts and nothing seems to be working

I guess I was lucky with zack, he took to it straight away. Left him without trousers or pants on so it was easyer for him to get to the potty without having to pull pants down. Had to keep sitting him on it when I saw him peeing, but he got the message. Bought him a potty chair from mothercare friday, because his bums got to big for normal pottys lol.

Ive heard that some people put a bit of lemmonade in the bottom of the potty so when mixed with wee it starts to fizz .......havent tried it with zack, but might be worth a go.

Adele was scared of her potty :( because it made a noise when yiu done something into it.
so for x-mas just before her 3rd b/day we got her a padded winni the pooh seat and she loved it and from that first time she just wanted to go to the toilet to sit on the seat.

We used to play a game with the toilet we used to sit her on the toilet and flush it and she would laugh and then just after that she done her first pee in the toilet and ever since its been great.

I still put a pull up on her at night till she was 3 so for about 4 months i put her potty beside her bed and she would come into our room and wake me up saying she had to go and then on her 3rd b/day she was fully toilet trained and the potty went in the bin.

every kid is different and he will go really soon i know its hard when you want them to go but he will do it when he is ready

good luck

Diors still a bit to young at the moment for potty training. i did get a potty she hates it, she likes watching me go the loo though, she will try and peek between my legs to see me wee and she giggles then when im done she will break me of about 2inchs of loo roll  then she flushes the chain, she dont like having a wet or dirty nappy and walks up to me with her hand on her nose saying "boooo" but she is wetting her nappy so often. going to cut down on all her juice then get a lil seat for the loo as she knows what the toilet if for she aint got a clue what a potty is i tryed sitting on it she looked at me like i had 10heads

I just let her have a nappy free day. she loved it! naked all day and getting a potty dance when she did a wee in it!!

Yeah we are starting to let her run around the house in knickers, she loves pulling them down or a wee! Plus we bought the step up thing u put on the big toilet for them to climb up and wee on themselves, she love it! She hasnt been outside without one tho! Not yet! And she still wears them at night.. tbh im not sure about how to go about it! Ive heard about getting them up in the night for a wee then put them back down.. im not sure yet! im gonna have to get her potty trained soon!!

how old is she now? i cant see your ticker??
im not to sure how to go about potty training either :?

Dior still wees loads. just trying to cut down the bottles now to get her ready

Jaycee was 2 in June..
She used to wee alot too but she calmed down after having her nappy off during the day for a week. If she weed somewhere i told her it was wrong and she had to sit on the potty, she used to go on the potty every 2 mins lol! but after a while she calmed it down to once every hour..Not bad, but i dint trust putting her in the car or buggy without a nappy yet!! LOL

Not sure if you would want to use this method but here goes.

For my daughter I used to put her on the potty after every meal/drink. Would give her a book to read. Used to get her to sit there for a few mins and gave her sweet for doing so (this was to get used to potty).

Then let her have some nappy free days and when we saw her going to wee we would run with her to potty and reward with sweet if anything went in potty (you get idea). She knew and we knew when she was doing a poo because she would go and hide so again got potty sat her on it (read to her/sang to her etc.) and rewarded with sweet.

This worked for us and just after 2nd birthday my daughter was toilet trained and before 3rd birthday she was dry through the night

With Mason I sat him on the potty and read him story after story after story.

If his favorite TV show was on it would be that too....and if he did anything we'd be like "HOORAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!"

thats a good idea, lol freya Dior goes out the room to pooh in her nappy. or hides behind the door i have to pretend i dont no and she will peak round to make sure no one is coming then she will walk up to Harley point to his napy put her hand over her nose and say "booooooo" (thats ment to say poo) lol she trys to blame him :rotfl:
its crap now though if i ever trump she will go up to kris point to me and say "booooooo"
