Hello all,

I know there's been a few of these threads recently- just a quick question really. I'm not 'training' my daughter (2.5) as such, as letting her go nappy-less, and use the toilet or potty without pressure. However, she seems to be holding her wee. For example, she has.not worn a nappy since 8.30 this morning, and has had no wees or poos. She's sat on the potty or toilet quite happily, 5 times, but nothing has happened (she has successfully done both before now).

Is it possible she's deliberately holding it?? I wouldn't have thought she was capable of that at this stage, but when I put the pull up on her for her nap in a minute, I can almost guarantee a huge wee!

Anyone in the same boat?

Xxx

We are in the process of potty training. My son apparently has a lot of modesty and won't use potty/toilet when we are out. We went out Saturday and he held his wee all afternoon. I thought he would wee in the car as it took us about 20 mins to go home but he didn't. He had a massive wee when we came home though. So in answer to your question, I think they can hold it longer than you think.

I started potty training my lg about 3 weeks ago and she started off exactly the same. After a few days she was happy to go on the potty and went much more frequently. So it's definitely normal. X
