Not sure if this is the right place for this but hope someone can advise. I have always found smear tests really painful and the last one I had, a couple of months ago was excruciating! The nurse commented 'Ooh, it points upwards doesn't it?' I was in so much pain I didn't ask her what she meant but when I googled it, it seems like she might have meant that it was a posterior cervix. This was the first time I'd heard of it. I've always found initial penetration during sex fairly painful too which makes me wonder if this is the reason? OH and I are TTC in December and I'm wondering if having a 'weird' cervix is going to be a problem for conception and also for vaginal exams during pregnancy and labour and even for getting a baby out! Has anyone had any experience of this?
