Positive test but confused :/

Hi,
Newbie here.

My last period started 1 December and I have done 3 tests yesterday and they are positive. I had one that showed how far and it says 1 - 2 weeks. I don't understand how that's possible since ovulation calendar shows 12 - 15 December as fertile so that's over a month? Plus we don't think that we actually had sex anywhere near those dates as we had a really bad December with bereavement etc.

We did go on holiday on 28 December and then had lots for a week but that still doesn't add up? Reading online it says it's basically impossible to get pregnant just before your period is due (which it would've been near 1st January) so we are both confused.com!

Can someone help shed some light? Have an appointment next week anyway but it's been frazzling our brains since yesterday

The test will tell you how many weeks from conception and not from your 1st day of your last period so this is probably why it isn’t making sense to you. You will probably be more like 3-4 weeks pregnant. Hope that makes sense x

Ah ok, what a numpty, that makes sense now. You'd think I'd know a bit more about how this works on our third lol. Thanks xx
