I can't believe that. I dont agree with abortion, but I understand why some people need it (like rape victims). Having to wait until 15weeks gone to have a termintation because the sodding NHS has a seven week waiting list, when they're not supposed to go over 3 weeks. I mean, by 15weeks, they'll have started getting a bump, which for rape victims could cause serious upset for them. When the heck is this country going to get back into shape?

:x :x it just burns my ass to read things like that!

There's also stuff in the news about women in their 20s not going for smear tests.

I imagine they would have noticed anything when u had Rachel though. ^_^

Congratulations on getting the all clear hun! :cheer:

I will be going from now on, i think iot was the whole stigma of getting my bits out as well, but after childbirth all my dignity has gone right out the window!

I certainly don't agree with the non smear in 20 somethings, I was too in my 20's (25) when I had to have laser treatment to remove pre cancerous cells.

I was told that if I hadn't of had these checks then I could have had cancer within 5 years and I would have only been 30.

As for the termination wait, it is disgusting, people have them for many many reasons, sometimes not necesarilly for not wanting the baby but from pressure elsewhere and I really don't see that this wait helps them at all :x

how about all those who are due a smear (im one) all make an appointment and go for one. I we all do it it won't seem as bad!

i think ill make a smear appointment thread
