Poor baby

Charlotte had a little spot on chin on tuesday but since last night it got a lot bigger and looked like a boil and very painful. She has also been very miserable and unsettled. Took her to docs this morning who has given us antibiotics and since then she we have been trying to give her a dose without any luck. It tastes so strong that whatever we mix it with she gags and throws up loads so is hungry, tired and miserable. Its not nice. We are waiting for doctor to call us back as if she doesn't get any antibiotic into her it might get worse

Aww hun, poor lil lass. My eldest was like that with antibiotics, but she wasnt that young when she first had them. With her we found that she couldnt handle any antibiotics that had to be made up with water -they just made her violently sick, so when she was very young (up to the age of five) she had to have injections, it was the only way to get it in her and keep it there. At about five or six I taught her to swallow pills and cut them down to doses apropriate to her age.

poor little thing. It is so hard to see them miserable. And it is so frustrating when you have to make them drink the medicine and they just spit it out while you are willing them to drink it and get well. Really hope she gets better soon.
