Rubes has been unsettled since wednesday........

Last night she got worse, we had the worst night with her since she was born and ended up with her in our bed @ 5am to settle her.

She feels very hot aroud her temples, and her hands too. She has a rash on both arms, looks like little angry red spots, raised to the touch and almost blister like now.

Today she has slept most of the day, hasnt eaten and clings to me all the time

Hate seing her like this

There is chhicken pox in her nursery, could she have it?

does sound like it. leckershall's ryan has it so she will be able to help out more.

its horrible when they are poorly,Seren has scarlet fever and is currently sitting on the sofa as she keeps waking up crying. Hope Ruby is better soon

poor little girly.

give her a cuddle from me and alice.

She was a bit brighter this morning, but by lunchtime was clingy and hot again...I was worried bout taking her to walk in centre incase it was pox and there was any pregnant women there...phoned NHS direct who advised to take her to pharmacy to look at rash. Drove to hospital as I knew the pharmacy there would be open, they wouldnt look at her, and sent me next door to walk in centre!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr. I was so worried incase it was pox, I asked the triage nurse to sit us somewhere seperate while we waited to see nurse practioner.

Anyway, she hasnt got chicken pox. She has viral tonsillatious (sp?), all her tonsills, ears and throat are inflamed and she also has thrush in her mouth :( My poor baby  The rash is down to the virus

She is on ibuprofen and calpol, plus toungue drops for her thrush.

She still wont eat (the thrush will make her lose her appetite they said) so we have tried everything to tempt her today...the only thing that worked was quavers and cadburys buttons which she wolfed!! Ha ha
Milk and juice are keeping her hydrated.

Thanks for your wishes girlies, dont know what I would do without you all xxxxxxxx

Well, we had a set back friday, after picking up during the week thursday night she barely slept...friday she cried and clung to me again all day...she was back to square one again...

Yesterday and today though she is back to our little girl, full of beans and happy again  She is eating and all is well. I am so happy :cheer:

Thank you all for you well wishes, its been a horrible week :(

I am so proud of her, she has been so brave. Its very rare in under 2's and she has coped amazingly well, she must of felt like crap

Another little boy in her nursery has come down with it...I have heard so many reports of it lately

Its a notifiable disease, doctors have to report it to the Health Authority so they can monitor the spread of it

poor little madam.

give her a squeeze from me and alice.
