Me again ladies!!

I just wondered what is normal in the nappy and poop department. Baby Emily is having breast and a couple of formula top ups and she's had quite a few poops that I can hear squirt out of her bum. She seems to be doing quite a few of these.

They are a mustard colour and loose but when does loose become diarrhea and how many is too many?

God these early days are a worry! I feel like I don't have a clue what I'm doing! X

They should be a mustard colour
There's no right and wrong amount really as all babies different however my lo was pooping pretty much every other feed so about 8-9 nappies a day
My lo also has nickname of thunder pants because his poo is explosive! It goes from mustard consistency to watery consistency but is yellow.

I think diarrhea is over a few days ad each one would be like water?
I got told by doctor and bf group that babies Tummus don't really know what there doing for a while as long as your getting wet/ poop nappies and they are yellow and not green then baby probs ok

Laura, we've got Pesto Poos here, about 8 per day, really runny. If E is well, and wanting to feed it won't be diarrhoea. X

Thanks ladies that's put my mind at ease. She's definitely wanting to feed bless her :) couldn't settle her at all last night.

Ours are definitely explosive - makes me giggle bless her. Definitely mustard though and not watery so guess she's ok :)

These first few days are a steep learning curve!! X

I was told that if poos go green and last more than I day that's a sign of tummy bug

Explosive poos here too. Really wet too. Have been since my milk cane in. I was told diarrhoea is diagnosed more on the fact they're not themselves.

Yep, mustard colour, loose and explosive here too. And they seem to become more explosive as time goes on!

In case knowing what is not normal helps you to compare. LO had constant problems with diarrhoea because of food allergies to what I was eating and had trouble putting on weight because of it. It came out explosive and foamy. There was a lot of mucus in it and wasn't just loose as in creamy consistency but contained watery liquid too. It was often a dark color and eventually turned green and had specks of blood in it. It wasn't just some nappies or a couple of days but every nappy for weeks. She did 6-8 poos a day.
