Polyp & MC

I think I'm currently going through my second mc since Sept, the hospital found a polyp after my first mc and said it wouldn't be an issue to ttc afterwards whilst waiting for my polyp to be removed and if I did get pregnant it wouldn't cause any difficulties.

Now mc'd for the second time, (highly likely, lots of blood/tissue loss) and I think its because of the polyp. I asked how long it would take for it to be removed and they said 'how long is a piece of string'. Really helpful. Why would they say I was fine to conceive, then let me mc.. maybe they didn't think it would happen but I'm so upset and worried to try again without them removing the polyp first. It took us four years ttc to get to this point so I'm really worried if we wait, we won't be able to conceive again. I've requested a blood test for my hcg next week just so the doctors can record that I've been pregnant. I'm not sure what I'm doing here really.. I just feel a bit lost atm, my husband wants to look forward but I'm still feeling really down, any advice appreciated x

I’m so sorry that you are going through all of this. Have you had positive hpt? It’s a shame that they can’t get you in for blood work right away. By next week it may be out of your system already if you are experiencing the already mc now. I don’t know much about polyps, but if it’s any comfort, I have heard that an implanted embryo should be ok, as long as it doesn’t implant on the polyp…which isn’t the most likely thing to happen, though it could. I’m sure someone else on here would know if this is correct or have much better advice/info for you. As for trying again, I would feel the same way right now, though I don’t have suggestions there either. Sending hugs!

Thank you so much for replying, it's so difficult not being able to speak to anyone about it all. I had a positive on Monday and again yesterday but I've bled quite a bit since, I wish and hope that it's true about the implantation, it could just be the polyp bleeding, I feel I need some kind of miracle right now, fingers crossed for the hcg showing on Monday x

I’m sorry my reply isn’t really that much help though. It sounds like you are definitely pregnant. Will be praying over the weekend, and keep us posted! If you need to chat, feel free to message me. It’s so nice to be able to chat about these things on here, and I’ve been through a mc once before. Still awaiting my rainbow over a year later. Everyone’s experience is different, but I know some of the sadness, thoughts, and feelings. It helped/helps me to know, I’m not the only one.
