Please read, could do with a bit of input- PET failed sweep?

39+1 today with baby 2 and due to having PET the first time, I've been monitored closely towards the end of this pregnancy... Today, BP was borderline high varying between 130/98 and 140/90 and ++ protein. Sent down to hospital. Bloods came back ok (apart from anaemia) and blood pressure settled to just below borderline. As I am hoping for a VBAC, desperately avoiding induction due to PET/ BP so agreed to a sweep tonight to see if we could hurry baby along a little.... Failed sweep, cervix closed. A couple of hours later I have been sent home and have been for a wee, when I wiped my cm is pink tinged? Is this normal after a failed sweep???

I have a clinic appointment made for tomorrow to discuss with consultant a plan b in case my bp does misbehave.

I had 2 failed sweeps before my induction. I didnt have any bleeding but mw did warn me that i could as she had rummaged around in there! So would assume its normal. Good luck x

I've had 2 sweeps this week at 41 and 41+2 neither have worked despite being fully effaced and 2cm dilated both times I've had some punk/red/then brown mucous and some red blood on my pad but nothing doing. Hope you can have your vbac and it's not much longer for you xx

I had a failed sweep and midwife told me to expect a show or red/pink mucus or discharge , I didn't get any but did go into labour 3 days later.. Good luck xx

Sounds normal I had this after my sweep and went into labour 4 days later
