Well I knew it was going to happen just not so soon - REDUNDANCY Got announced today

My Team are being made redundant in October but I have been asked to stay on till April - So I hope this means that they still have to pay my maternity leave for a year and then make me redundant as I don't think they can make me redundant as this is what happened to two other ladies last year. I think I would be leaving around December so my job is still open until then.

Waiting for HR to get back to me so fingers crossed they have to pay as then it will be another year added onto my final redundancy package

Thanks girls well good news! They have to pay my full maternity pay so 6 months full pay & 6 months half pay

I have two options take redundancy & maternity pay in December then leave or go on maternity leave then take redundancy after a year which seems so far to be the better option as it is another year on my package, still get pay rise, bonuses paid etc.

So thanks for keeping your fingers crossed! very tough at work my team are devastated as our other departments also affected not nice. I am trying to not let things stress me anymore at work and if they stress me too much I will get my doc to sign me off as the baby is the most important thing now!
