Hi

I am ready to throw my Tommee Tippee monitor out the window  the hissing that comes from the parent unit is driving me round the bend!
I bought it because it has the pad that you put under the mattress which has an alarm if the baby stops moving for 20 seconds so I was thinking I'd still use that part of the monitor but I desperately want to get a new monitor that doesn't hiss. Is a digital one the only way to go?

Please let me know if you have a monitor that doesn't hiss!

Thanks

Lucy

hi hunny we had them and the exact same(with adele) was happening with us untill we removed the matt. It did stop a little but it was very faint hissing noise so we decided to go for the tomy walkabout digital ones and havent had a problem with them. The other thing with the mat ones was we could hear peoples phone calls through them and it was always neighbours with cordless phones.

If you still hav the box for them i would take them back and change them for something better

take care hun speak soon

xxxx

Mine doesn't hiss??? :? Well, saying that, it didn't when I used it. I don't even use it now! More worry than help. I can hear the alarm anywhere in my house.

I have a Fisher Price one. Only paid about 20 pound for it in Babies R Us. When we first used it, it hissed constantly. I nearly went out and got a dearer one. But now it is perfectly silent and I love it!! One of my best buys.

Do you have options for what frequency you can run it on? I have 2 options and one of mine is rubbish. Depends what signal you pick up I guess.

Maybe leave yours on if you go out etc and see if having it on more regularly clears the hissing.

Mine doesn't have a mat either so not sure if this makes a difference
