Hi

Sorry for the over dramatic subject line, needed to get anyone who uses the above monitor (the one with the pad that goes under the mattress) attention!

I use the monitor but it has terrible interference, it's always Bzzz bzz bzzz and sounds like I live in the outback with lots of crickets!
Does your do this as well? Perhaps mine is faulty or maybe I should get a digital one? Now that Olivia is in her own room I sleep next to the monitor and it's so bad that it keeps me awake!

I've tried moving the monitor onto different channels and moving it to different places in the room but still have this problem. When I have the parent unit out of the docking station it still happens.

Thanks
Lucy

Mine is fairly noisy too, it just takes a bit of getting used to. If it's really bad, there may be something electrical interfering with it, but if you can still hear your baby over the buzzing, then it sounds like it's working OK.

You could always ring the Tomy Tippee helpline - they are wonderfully helpful people. I dropped my parent unit and it broke, so I rang to see if I could buy another one on it's own and instead they sent me one free of charge.

Mine doesn't do this, but then I don't tend to use the portable parent monitor if I'm honest, it sucks the life out of batteries and won't work in the mains without batteries in the back, stupid thing. The alarm is loud enough to hear downstairs, upstairs and outside in my shoebox house. You shoulod still be able to hear it if it goes off hunnie, honestly, I always woke up to Damien's. I turn the beeps off for his movement too, drives me up the wall if it's on. I have the light turned off aswell not, just the minimum. Damien is still in my room (can't let go of him yet!) but when he does move into his own room I'll still leave it as it is, he seems to prefer darkness.

Like Cloughie said, I'd give them a call. Sorry if I haven't helped much!! xx

Hi Ladies, this is the moniter I was planning to get as I am paranoid about SIDS, would you reccommend this one?

Thanks, Katt x

Hi ladies. after having Rebecca I was overly paranoid about SIDS, it was ruling my life. I couldn't sleep at night, and didn't want to buy a cot, eventough cot death can happen anywhere. Well the time came a few weeks ago when she had outgrown her moses basket, and I had to buy a cot, and do you know what, the tommee tippee monitor was the best thing ever. The sensor mat is the best invention and worth the £100.

I still am paranoid about it, and have the ticking on the highest setting just to reassure me she is alive, I don't think Rebecca will be in her own room for a long time. I still keep a dimmer light on so I can see her little chest go up and down, letting me know she is breathing.

I sound sad, and deranged, but I love my princess to bits and couldn't cope if she was ever taken from me.x

Hi K, I think its totally understandable and I think I will be the same! I am definitely going to buy one now, thanks!
