Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here since our little girl was born....no time in the day then knackered after she's gone to bed :nap:

Anyway, she's almost 8 months old and in November discovered she had torticollis which basically is a tight neck muscle. This stopped her turning her head to the left so ended up with quite a severe flat bit on the back/right side of her head. I kept saying to the hv that her head was flat and she just fobbed me off with...'all babies have flat heads and she's a girl so her hair will cover it'.
After 3 months of Physio her neck is completely normal now which is amazing, but she's also having helmet treatment for her flat head. That's also going great....she's been wearing it 23 hours a day for the last 6/7 weeks and the difference is mental. I just wanted to share our story and see if anyone else had been through anything similar? xx

No experience hun as I've always slept my babies on their side but wanted to say glad it's helping and what a little cutie she is. Such a happy little thing xxx

She is absolutely adorable! Xx

I've known kids fobbed off and he was 2 with a totally flat head at the back
No idea what came of that

Glad its all sorted now :)

Just goes to show you that you have to be persistent with "professionals" sometimes as they can't see the wood for the trees in some cases

I'm so glad the helmets working and her neck muscles are better now
