Ladies,

Where are you planning on placing your crib / Moses basket for the bedroom?

Our bedroom is quite narrow and our bed is directly in the centre of the wall to allow both of us to freely get in/out of bed. If i was to place the crib at side of bed then one side of the bed will have to go against the wall.

Would putting the crib at the foot of the bed (not directly against it) be ok to do or is this not recommended?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

We had planned to put the crib at the foot of the bed, but I decided I'd probably want to be able to see her and just reach over for her. Now we're going to push the bed up against one wall so there's room to have the crib on my side of the bed. It's not ideal and means OH is going to have climb over the end or my side of the bed, but it won't be forever.

Ours is going next too but it's designed to (snuzpod) but I do think we might end up moving it to the end of the bed as she gets older before the move to her own room of that makes sense. Not sure, but I'd have thought foot of te bed is fine :)

Hi I think the end of the bed is fine although, like Mayflower says you might feel that once baby is here you want to them next to you. What size is the moses basket you have picked? We're getting a co-sleeper (snuzpod) so it will be right against my side of the bed and i will scoot down to the bottom of the bed to get out from my side x

I had baby bed pushed right against my side and OHs was against the wall. We were fine. I couldn't imagine having to crawl to the end of the bed to get baby.

Thanks ladies.

I've got a rocking crib from Mothercare for bedroom, which I also plan to use the movement sensor on for safety.

If we put hubby's side of bed up against the wall it will block access to the window, so my side of bed will need to put against the wall and we will have to swap sides if needs be. That's why I thought of putting it at foot of bed as I'd have to sit up in order to access the baby so walking a couple of steps to foot of bed is gonna be ok.

Will get hubby to assemble the crib on weekend and see what the options are with moving bed or placing at foot of bed.

We have a gliding crib for our little one which due to room limitations will be at the bottom of the bed, we have wardrobes down my side, a meter gap then bed, my husbands side has a meter gap with chest a drawers and the doorway. At the bottom of our bed in 2 meters then a window so we had our winning spot lol. It would be more convenient to have on my side but I'll adjust I'm sure!
