Piles :( Advice Please!

Id go and ask your doctor hun
Ive still got piles and mine have never gone, they get so sore sometimes and bleed too, doctor just gave me cream for them and said if they dont feel better soon come back (i think you can have them removed)

Go to your doctor hun. Once you get piles they never go but they can be treated and kept at bay with supositries (sp?) and creams

I used anusol supositories, havnt been to my doctor about them. When I had them with constipation (agonising) I used some loo roll to push them down while I was going to the toilet, helped loads. I havnt had them since Ive been eating a bowl of branflakes every day. I never knew why ppl went on about bran so much but now I know

Hope that helps a bit, and hope you get them sorted

I suffer from IBS and regularly suffer from piles. I use different gels (which ever is on offer at the shops) and it can take up to a week for them to settle down.

It is quite common after pregnancy to have them for a while, but speak to your GP about any treatments that are best suited to you. xxx

I've suffered with them for years and am to have them removed in next few months. but going back to pregnancy related ones the best advice i was given along with cream and pessaries was to buy some panty liners and soak them in cold water then gently press out excess water and freeze them, then and this is **very important** wrap one in a clean cotton hanky or similar so the side to apply to piles is at least double thickness then apply to piles pop nix on and sit on a towel. do this as often as required.

they cool and ease and help to shrink the piles, its a tad messy but the relief you will get will far outway a damp patch :D

hope you ease soon :D

I got piles in pregnancy and they were particularly bad after the birth. My GP gave me anusol cream but going to the loo regularly is what is keeping them under control...
Anyway, good luck! I know how much it can hurt!

I used suppositories and mine cleared up within a couple of weeks. I know how painful they are though OUCH. I have put a link to the piles advice website below :D

Mine are bad too, there no longer painful though - but they still bleed loads on occasion.

Just drink water, poo regurally and eat weetabix and take some pessaries, i didnt like anusol. I use the other one, it has antiseptic in it and is pretty good.

I have IBS so dont go regular without medication, will have to go to docs and see what suggests :) Thanks everyone!

I have exactly the same thing Jo, 3 months on! I used Anusol to shrink the piles but it really hurts to poo & although they don't bleed as much, there's often blood on the tissue paper. I think I need to up my fruit & veg intake really. I heard that those probiotic drinks also help.

I suffered through pregnancy but assumed it was common , and went to docs when Rubes was about 6 months as it was agony when I pooed  I also had a scarey eposide of dark red mucus when I wiped which frightened the life outta me  I was referred quickly to see a speacilist....

He examined me and found a tear which he said was probably caused by pregnancy and would explain the bright red blood on wiping....I had a colonoscopy (camera into the bowel) to check why I had dark red blood and whilst he was doing that (I was asleep due to local anthestitic (sp?), he injected botox around the tear which froze the muscles and allowed it to heal, and thankfully its been much better since!!!

Had a barium enema recently as part of my bowel wasnt clear on the colonoscopy and I am awaiting the results but he was pretty confident it would be fine

Its horrid having a sore bum, sending you big hugs
