yay our physio appt went really well!! as soon as we walked in, K kicked off screaming and bit me and everything! but we found her some balls to play with and it took her mind off where she was! they've got like PE bars in there and we were playing by there and with the elastic bandy things! she's a little bugger tho, she finds ways round everything so she can stay on her bum :dohh: i got ella out to play too cos she encourages K to do stuff and the physio was suprised how advanced she is with her stuff, especially compared to katie!

basically her centre of gravity is too far back! i've been saying this for ages to people and noones believed me! for the last year she's bum shuffled which means she leans back all the time and just isnt used to leaning forward for everything! so i've got to encourage her with chocolate and stuff on the sofa trying to get her to lean forward to get it!

there wasnt much we could do today, and it was more of a getting her used to being there and for her to have fun so she remembers something good from the hospital! which hopefully has worked!

oh and the best bit, we were tryiing to get her to go up the stairs they've got to get a football, which she tried to do on her bum  she didnt manage it, but before we knew it, E was up the stairs and playing with the bloody ball

see k just need to learn not to use her bum, gotta remember she learnt to do stuff that way not because it was the easy way but because it was the way she could manage. @ e btw

Aw bless her! x She'll be up before you know it!! x glad it was a positive experience for her, hopefully she'll not kick off next time and just remember how much fun she had playing! x you'll have to put toys just out of reach so she has to reach forward for them x yay for both of them x

:yay: sounds really positive. I love it when someone tells you something and you can be like "see, I bloody SAID that was the problem" :smug:

I hope you feel a bit better knowing youre working towards something positive

:yay: glad it went well hun!! I'm sure it'll take her a bit of time to adjust, remember she had to devise her own way of getting round due to her hips, so she'll have to get into a whole new way of doing things. But she WILL get there and you'll be runing round like a mad woman after the pair of them  xx

its mad how much better i feel after it! the woman was so positive and actually took time to look at her and tell me what needs to happen before she can walk! and its nice to know that from an "official" point of view, shes not just lazy, she just needs to learn! have been putting everything out her reach, just hope it encourages her soon!!
