I've not even posted my birth story yet and I have questions!

The main thing is about the extreme cold and shivers. I had my LB on Tuesday, came home Thursday early evening. At about 9pm I suddenly came over really, really cold. The shivers were massively violent and my OH looked shocked. I have no fever, no sign of infection, just this cold! It's not particularly constant either, or rather I'm colder than I was when I was pregnant, generally, then there are these waves of icy intensity. I had an urgent c section, so is it c section related or something birth related or something else?

Then there's the weird tummy. I was expecting soft, flabby belly after rock hard pregnant belly, and I was expecting my scar and the area around the scar site where they yank you about with those paddle like things (I knew the word, I've forgotten the word) to be sore, but higher up, above the scar and visible bruising, but below the ribcage, inside, feels weird and a little tender-ish too... normal? I know they had some issues in theatre with endometriosis scars and adhesions, so could it be this too?

Finally (sorry for essay!)... is mine the only tummy out there competing to invent the most bizarre noises ?

Right, feeding time nearly. Hopefully the next time I'm up in the night with him I can do my birth story! Thanks for any advice/thoughts xxx

I had this cold thing and also had a c section, it could be the after affects of epidural I was told :) it does make you feel very poorly though xx

Ditto to the cold thing, I think the second night home I was shaking do violently it was horrible, hubby was cuddling me to make me warm but it didn't work! It happened a couple more times but less each time, it just tailed off. The noise is due to the air that's gone into your body when they opened you up, they advised me that ul hear it lots, and probably pass more gas. They told me to drink peppermint tea which helped loads and didn't help that bad. As for the pain I'm not sure, the section between my belly button and scar has been quite tender (I'm told its due to the nerves growing back) but I'm not sure about higher up. Hope u start to feel better soon and most importantly congrats!! :) xx

Thanks Sophie. Good to know I'm not the only one. Thought it was weird that it didn't happen til we got home. And it doesn't make a blind bit of differenve how warm the room is x

Weird. I had a c-section and the cold/shivery thing too, my teeth were actually chattering!!! I never really thought much about it at the time (my bp sky-rocketed 3 days after birth and I had to be readmitted).

I had a normal labour and epidural and once home during the night I had that extreme shivering. I have no idea what on earth is with that and honestly thought it was an infection with high fever but it just went away and never happened again. God it was awful.
Pretty hope it will not happen this time too heeh.
