period type pains - advice needed

im 36 weeks and 2 days and have been getting irregular period pains under my bump since last night. any ideas what they could be ? is it a sign of early labour as baby is 3/5ths engaged at last check up a week ago ?

yeah baby is moving fine, the tightnings arnt that much of a problem its the period type pain i keep getting ??

just sounds like braxton hicks, theyll probably get a lot more frequent as you get closer to your due date

The period pains arnt braxton hicks they are you're uterus slowly strecthing and getting ready for the big day! I have been having them since around 35/36 weeks too...totally normal

I have also been getting period type pains the also few weeks especially if I've had a busy day. I'm sure they are not BH as they are constant just like when you have AF.

I got period-type pains for around 2 weeks before Maddie was born. I remember telling the MW that I was feeling 'periody' and she said it was a good sign.

Maddie was born a week early
