Period or not?

I started my period 25/12/16 and bled for 5 days which is normal for me, I then started bleeding again 5/01/17 which would of been cd12. It was heavier then my previous period and (sorry tmi) was very clotty and lots of black bits, that lasted for 3 days. Would you class that as a new period? So I would now be cd9 or cd20? FF hasn't put it as a new period So is still going with the normal cycle.

I had my son 04/11/15 and went onto the injection, my last injection was June 2016.

I used to use FF until it started charging so I dropped it in favour of Ovia which changes a bleed to CD1 again. I was wondering if it would have been IB or early mc but cant have been so close after AF. I suffer with heavy clots too, I now have no idea where I am period wise when I bleed for less than a day I dont know if I need to tell Ovia to call it a bleed or spotting. Its so hard work at times x

The only time I had mid cycle spotting, I was pregnant but didn't know it.

I'd had a normal period and was on CD13 so thought it was ovulation spotting but did a hpt to rule out out and it came back positive! HCG test showed it was progressing initially but not as it should be (suspected ectopic) it ended in mc sadly.

Might be worth doing a hpt just to rule it out (or in).

I'd just keep peeing on opks and hpts and hopefully you'll get answers.

Thank you, It's NTNP at the moment so I don't think I am, I did a hpt a couple of weeks ago and it was negative so will see what it says in the morning but I think it's just a dodgy cycle xx
