Hi all

This is my first time on here! I tried to use the search bar to see if my question had bewn asked before but i guess as I'm using my phone it wouldn't let me search properly.

So a bit of background. I was diagnosed with pcos about 10 years ago. My weight is currently 15 stone 5 and my height 5ft1. I've gone to a fertility clinic who told me my bmi was too high for clomid. I'm currently trying out a low carb diet and exercising to see if I can lose weight.

I've read online that soy isoflavones might be able to work like clomid. Just wondering if there was any truth in that. I'm also taking well woman pre conception tablets which contain inositol. Can I take both? Also, sorry if tmi, but I've been bleeding for about a month now. It happened a couple of months ago as well. Usually I'm fairly regular with my periods so not sure what's going on. But anyway with the isoflavones, how do I know what cycle day I'm on if I don't stop bleeding?!

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere and thanks in advance for any help anyone can give :) xx

Yep you can. Not sure what day to take it if you're bleeding constantly but I did read it on a forum a while ago so it's out there somewhere. Personally I would try inositol on its own as the dose in WellWoman is probably very small. I used to bleed a lot too (left ovary is polycystic). I take chromium which helps loads. It's a bit like metformin. Xx

Ask your GP for northesterone. It will stop the bleeding whilst your on it and then when you finish taking them you will bleed again. Hopefully it will kick start a more normal cycle.

Hi both! Thank you so much. I will definitely try both of your suggestions x

Hi there. Last year i bled pretty much constabtly for about 8 months. I tried multiple things, the docotr wouldnt give me anything bar mefanmic acid. In the end what worked for me was cinnamon, i tried all sorts of things such as vitex, macca, inositol, black cohosh. The only thing that stopped it was cinnamon.

I tried soya isoflavones on this cycle. Didnt do anything for me currently on CD70 which is the longest cycle i have had in years. So dont think it worked for me. Hooefully it works for you. I took it 3-7. X

Update - I started taking folic acid and choline inositol. Within a few days the bleeding stopped! I will still go to the doctor to find out of there is anything else I can do. I heard cinnamon is good too so have been trying to incorporate that into my diet. So far I've lost 4 pounds!x
