I took 9 months maternity leave, due to go back to work in October. However I've decided I want to be a full-time mummy :) I have to give my work 2 months notice so I have to tell them beginning of August, but I'm unsure what happens with pay during that time.

I'm almost certain I read somewhere a while ago that during your notice while on maternity leave still, you can be expected to get your normal weekly wage from your work! Because it's treated like you are 'working' your notice.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm on Maternity Allowance also (I receive no money from work as I wasn't working there long enough).

Anyone know if that's correct?

You won't get anything you're not currently getting unless they owe you annual leave accrued. If you had received OMP you would have had to repay it. Hth

I think your only paid for 9 months mat leave , if you wanted to take any longer it's unpaid . Xxx

My maternity ended in April and I handed my notice in back in January and I only got my maternity pay (SMP) until the end of April. The only extra I got was for holidays that I hadn't taken before my maternity leave.

I have to go back for a certain length of time or i'l have to repay some of my mat pay, depends if you are on SMP for the whole time or its supplemented too.
