I'm trying to plan my birthday party but not sure what to do. I could hire a room with a DJ which could be expensive! As it will be in August though I thought an outdoor party/bbq may be nice? There will be children there too though it will be in the evening. Does anyone have any ideas to make it fun?! Maybe you girls have organised something like this before? Any ideas please....

My uncle had a BBQ for his birthday and we hired a jousting pool.. like on gladiators where you hit each other with them big sticks and knock each other off.. into a pool 
it was fun.. next yr he ordered a bucking bronco etc etc. We have an uncle who hires stuff like that out but it doesn't normally cost that much tbh
