Panicking :/

Ive got a cold sore, never had one before so didn't realise what it was, I kist woke up yesterday with this little blister on my lip, it wasn't tingling or anything I just thought nothing of it, yesterday I was obviously kissing my LO who is 18 week old all day whilst playing with him or comforting him!
As the day went on the blister started to tingle and sort of itch and I googled it and realised
It was a cold sore, I sent the OH out for Zovirax which I have been using.
I'm just so worried my LO is going to get it now I read that it's dangerous for babies???

Has anyone ever experienced this? I don't know what to do, feel like I can't just sit back and wait to see if my baby becomes Poorly xxx

Obviously since the tingling started ive not put my face anywhere near my LO's xxx

I've had a few cold sores since my dd was born and she has never contracted it. Obviously as soon as you realised you had it you stopped kissing LO so you can't do anymore. Just keep an eye out for temp or illness, and if your worried contact 111 x

Hi, yeah I phoned 111 and they said there is nothing I can do other than watch and wait, they did say that it's most contagious when it's burst and mine hasn't so im praying ive not passed it to him he seems ok, hate not being able to kiss him though xxx

Aww its second nature to just kiss them all the time isn't it! It sounds like you may have realised in time xx

Hope so... He's totally fine atm yeah it's so hard to not kiss him, I just keep Eskimo kissing him with my nose lol! Xxx
