Hi had a scan today. Which hurt! When I had them for my miscarriage it didn't but today I'm cramping so much. Probably because she was digging around

They had trouble finding my left ovary and wouldn't give results today but it sounded like I had 5 follicles on 1 side and 8 on the other. The 5 side looked like I just ovulated which fits in with my dates.

Does this mean ANYTHING to anyone. I'm panicking that I haven't got enough follicles or there's a reason they had to dig to find my left one... argh

Every time I am scanned it hurts. It’s like a feeling of over sensitivity that makes it painful. They always apologise and say it’s quite common. I wouldn’t worry.

I think it depends on the tech. I've had some very painful internal scans and some painless ones. Don't worry about the pain. Ovaries can be tricky to see, you can have bowels and/or gas in the way. That sounds like a good number of follicles to have left if you've just ovulated. All sounding positive to me x

Really? She seemed to smile at the doctor but I didn't want to get my hopes up then as soon as I came out I googled and half of it said it was terrible and half said fine.

I've got to go back for an HSG which I'm not looking forward to at all. I'm hoping they use the oil based dye as I read that has a positive effect for 3 months and since up till now all we know is DH sperm isn't ideal it might help.

Tbh I'm praying I got pregnant this cycle so I don't have to have the HSG lol but considering it's only happened once in 18 months I doubt I can pick and choose like that...

I was so panicked yesterday. I even rationalised that i couldnt have ovarian cancer as they wouldnt have just let me go home, so my ovaries must have been fine/not life threatening lol.

Thanks u have both settled my mind a bit! Roll on results day

I’ve had a fertility scan and said one ovary was tucked behind my uterus so was a little tricky to look at. Sounds like it’s quite normal. Good luck with the hsg test x

Try not to overthink the HSG. It really isn't that bad though the internet is full of horror stories!! It's a bit like a more involved smear and there is a bit of cramping when they push the dye through but I've honestly have normal periods that have been more painful. I drove myself there and back and went straight back to work afterwards.

I hope you're right! It's hard right now I just feel so much pressure. I want everything to be fine so much and yet it being fine is just 1 piece of the puzzle

It is a lot to go through but I found that focusing on getting answers helped get me through. We had a lot of issues but I actually found it much harder when there was nothing left to fix.
