Easy ups start at 18lb, and as Damien is just about that now I thought maybe it's worth trying him on them so he gets used to 'big boys pants'???? What do you think or is it not worth it? has anyone else started using them yet or will you not use them till potty training?

hi hun i started Adele off with pull ups when she was just over a year and a half and it took me till she was 3 to get her full toilet trained she kept confussing pull ups with proper pants and when she had proper pants on she was fine but when shehad a pull up on if we were out she would just go in that and wouldnt ask for a wee.

Good luck with the easy up ones they do look alot betterthan pull ups i must say :D

Hi Sami Rebecca is on them-but they are hellish to get on if he likes to kick his legs!!

my mum says its far too early, but they were on offer, and I think they r cute! It makes me think she is a big girl!

really?? that made me realise just how huge ruben is at 20lbs and not even 5 months yet... are they more expensive than the ordinary nappies? (i guess they are)

really petchy had liam weighed yesterday and he was 15lb 12oz

LOL Damien should only be 5 months old now, so he's a quite big baby too. They are a bit more expensive but they were on offer so I got them! Have an eye for a bargain me
He looks so cute in his big boys nappies, nut you're right K, they are a bugger to get on when they kick like mad! What are they like for nightimes at keeping them dry? Are they as good as active fit?

To be honest I wouldnt bother. I think its kind of like a carrot and donkey type thing so that when you do start to think about toilet training seriously then you have one less thing to bargin with if you see what I mean. Im not comparing him to a donkey.

Jess is just gone 2 but im going to wait till the baby is here and in the house for a few months before I start in ernest.

Brayds is still in normal naappies but if u do decided to try em let me know how u get on sami

i was wondering about them too. But you have a point lauramum - when they are potty training its probably a good idea to have big boy/girl pants to get them excited with x

Lydia is still in normal nappies. I'm going to start toilet training her when she can walk - pointless otherwise as she wouldn't be able to get to a potty lol!

I'm sticking to normal nappies at the mo, prob wont try till potty training

i'm sticking to normal nappies but Abi has had 2 wees on the potty  i've started sitting her on there for a few mins each day to get her used to it as my niece is 25 months and wont sit on a potty let alone do anything :)

:( Dior is 16months old now and is having none of it she looked at me gone out when i sat on the potty she seems scared of it, i might get one of them seats for my toliot as she knows that i use to loo to wee she watches me and pulls the loo roll for me, but iv only got 1 loo upstairs, would be easy if i had ne down stairs

Dior wont lay down to get a nappy on so i got her some pull up pants cheap ons from aldi they are crap, one wee and she is soaked.

how are the pampers ones sami? are they stretch like active fit? as i thought the baby dry ones are crap.
do they keep him dry?

Thats the problem my SIL has with my niece she wont go anywhere near a potty or toilet and screams the place down if you try so thats why i've intriduced it to Abi now, i'm not bothered whether she does anything but if she does it's a bonus, at the minute it's just getting her used to it, she sat on it for 15 mins watching tv the other day lol. HV told SIL when Izzy has a poo in her nappy to let her flush it down the toilet she does this but it still hasn't encouraged her to use the toilet lol

I try to tackle things like this with a book. I got a 'new baby is coming' book and we have read it on and off for the last few months and she seems to know whats coming and where baby is.

I also got a potty book which we have read a few times and so when I try to get her to do it it wont be totally unfamiliar. I wont actually try it seriously for a few months till new baby is here and Jess is over (hopefully) the disruption.

Dionne,
what about making up a special song that you only both sign together when she sits on the potty. I had one of those toilet seats which I wanted her to sit on before she went for a bath (giving me a chance to run it) but she seemed pretty scared, I think it was too high up.

my niece only got out of nappies properly when she was about 3  which i dont want happening with matthew she also had a thing about the toilet?! i've seen some potties in kiddicare though that look like a little toilet and you pull the handle and it makes a flushing sound etc might get one for matthew when hes old enough

My hv said that the advances in disposable nappies, what with them being so dry and comfy, have put potty training back as kids are more comfy for longer now in their nappiesl. She said its put it back about 1 whole year.

I've got Abi a normal potty at the mo but mum is gonna get her a musical one they have one in Argos and one with the flush :) maybe i'll be buying Abi cheap nappies then when the time is right :)
