Palpitations

Has anyone had these? I had a scary episode last night when I was trying to sleep. I could hear my heart pounding really quickly while I was resting. It was most unpleasant. I feel a bit jittery today too

My friend gave me a pregnancy bible yesterday and I noticed in there it said your heartrate rises during pregnancy, as does the volume of blood in your body. Could this be it?

I get it when I start to feel faint it's horrible xxx

I get this from time to time too, your body is working extra hard to pump blood around the body and i think blood thickens slightly during pregnancy.

it's normal you will get used to it, just try and relax hun x

given u were trying to sleep i assume you were lying down - lol. It perfectly normal to hear your heart beat when your lying down even if your not pregnant - and i would assume its going quicker cos of the extra work of the pregnancy. nothing to worry about.
