hi all.

my wife is 7 days late and we have been trying for years to get pregnant.

now the future looks good for us, but what i want to know is, does anyone know if the tesco or sainsburys, boots, superdrug.....all those kinda shops, if their own brand pregnancy tests are ok to use. do they work just after a missed period or would we need to wait longer.

i no them expensive ones work from the same day ur due on but we are both really tight for money this month, but we a re deperate to know. got a party to go to tomorrow night so would be brilliant to know i am going to be a dad before then. we could celebrate with a few strong orange juices. lol

gonna get a test in the morning so would love a bit of advice tonight.
Thanks all in advance.

Me..... a dad..... how brilliant does that sound. lol

I got a faint positive on a boots and superdrug tests 5 days b4 my period was due so they should b fairly accurate if she's late xx

ive always used the £1 strip tests from grahams or poundland they have always worked fine for me x

It depends on the strength of the test usually.. If she is 7 days late though it's likely she will show up on the majority of tests :yay: I didn't get my BFP til I was 10 days late! So even if it's negative, give it a few days and go again.. Good luck :dust:

i have used superdrug tests before i was due last time i was preg and they are great i got a bfp before af due

was going to get them today, but she dont want to jinx it by doing the test now on a cheap test that may not work. the way she see's it, if she is pregnant, she's pregnant, and if she aint then she aint, dont matter when the test is done.

but i want to no now!!!!!

Mike - I am impressed at your wife's power not to POAS! FX for you both x
