Ovulated, over a week late but negative pregnancy test?

Hi all,
I'm new to this site. Me and my husband have been trying to conceive for about 7 months now. This month I started using the clear blue ovulation dual hormone sticks. I ovulated on day 21 of my cycle, had plenty of sex 😝. I am now on day 41 of my cycle but getting negative tests?!
I'm so confused! Has this happened to anyone previously?

Do you have consitant cycle lengths? If so and you definitely know your late for your period and still getting negative tests it might be worth going to see you gp for a more accurate blood test. With me personally my cycle lengths are so irregular I can never know for sure if I'm 'late' or I'm just having a longer cycle. with this month I ovulated on day 20 and period arrived on day 33 but the previous few months I've had cycle lengths of 34, 36 and 27.
