Overstretched bladder

Anyone else had problems with their bladder? I have had to have a catheter fitted for a week as my bladder was not emptying. I need to go back to the hospital on Tuesday for them to take it out and see if I can empty my bladder on my own.

Didn't really have much luck, what with a catheter in one hole, an episiotomy in another, and the most horrendous piles on the other. Thank god my son is beautiful or I might just cry all day lol!

Oh gosh hun that sounds horrific I had catheters in for 24 hours after both my two and it makes everything so awkward doesn't it?! I hope everything goes ok when you get it taken out xxx

I was horrified when they had to put the first one in the night I gave birth. I'm getting used to the one I have in now, and it's one where I have to empty it every 2-4 hours. It does make me laugh being able to stand up and wee but I can't wait to get back to normal. They said if I can't empty it on my own on Tuesday they will either teach me how to self-catheterise or wear this one for another week. FX I don't need either

sounds awful - fingers crossed for you that everything is healed and you won't need anything else.
