Overdue Babies

I know this is a really stupid question to ask but im a little blonde sometimes what I was wondering is does anyone know is there a reason for babies being overdue? Ive tryed googling it but cant seem to find much. thanks for helping me xx

I was told that you shouldn't stress too much, doctors get dates wrong all the time and therefore you think you're overdue but infact you're about right. No baby grows in exactly the same way as the next so when they date you at the first scan it can't be 100% accurate.

I'm due Nov 14th but this only changed on my first scan. The midwife at my first appointment and my own calculations put me at Nov 7th. There was only ONE possible day that I could've got pregnant as it was the first time we'd even been near each other in ages so I know my dates were right.

Or your little one is going to be a complete genius and needs a bit more time to grow those extra brain cells that will change the world! xxx

thanks yeah true i reckon it could be the dates aswell i thought their might be a paticular reason for babies being overdue but i suppose every pregnancy is different some babies are ready at 38 weeks some at 41 weeks just depends how much extra cooking it needs lol
