Hi ladies, was hoping to tip toe in here feeling positive but it seems not. Got a BFP on Saturday. Based on LMP I'm 4w1d. Today I noticed some acute throbbing pain in right ovary area. It's not unbearable but hasn't disappeared with paracetamol. Called EPU and they'll scan me next week unless pain gets worse. Also had some very pale pink watery discharge on paper when I went to the toilet.

Hoping it's just standard early pg pains but equally concerned it's something like beginning of ectopic. Haven't had anything like this with previous MCs or my successful pg so just looking to get anyone else's experiences. My tests seem to be getting darker but assuming they would still do this if ectopic? Thanks x

Hey, and welcome!

I had an ectopic and I had quite bad one-sided pain with that, it only lasted for a day, and I also had the smallest amount of watery pink discaharge. It wasn't discovered until I paid for a private scan at 7 weeks, so I would defo push for an early scan.

But...I've also had sided pain in this pregnancy, right around the 4 week mark, and I was convinced it was happening again. The earliest they would scan me was 6 weeks and baby was fine and in the right place!
Sorry, I'm not much help, lol, but it could be completely normal, but it's worth getting it checked anyway xx

Thanks for taking the time to reply Lea. I've since had dots of red on toilet paper - but kind of like the size/consistency of if you've got irritation from thrush etc externally, if that makes sense! Also had streaks mixed in cm previous to that. Who knows! Pain has eased now so keeping things crossed but trying to stay realistic. Scan is in 9 days so hoping they can see something either way x
