Can anyone else express more via hand? I have a medela pump that doesn't seem to get any milk out but via hand I can get at least 1/2oz in 10 minutes. Xx

What type of Medela pump?

I had the swing and loved it. And although I found it did a good job pumping, I still found I could express more by hand myself for awhile. I used to use my pump until it stopped and then carry on by hand until I had whatever I deemed to be a good amount! LOL

I couldn't get anything out with a pump other than those massive industrial ones at the hospital. Hand expressing gets more.

I got 2.5oz in 5 minutes today by pump jut can't get much hand expressing... Maybe it's my technique

I've been breastfeeding for nearly 9mths and never thought of hand expressing! I kinda thought if not get much - I'll give it a go now tho x

I always got more hand expressing. But preferred using a pump if I had loads.

I haven't tried an expensive pump but get way more by hand than with the little pump I was given by a friend.
