Our reuseable nappy adventure day!

Today I decided to try out a couple of the samples I got. Some cotton prefolds with wraps (think I'd washed these about 6 times!) and some Kissaluvs. I'd tried the prefolds a few times in the last week or so and quite liked them.

Today Becky gave me the pooiest nappy I'd ever seen in one of the prefolds. When I went to change her it was all over her legs, bum, back, and then me, the changing mat and I found some on the marble hearth of the fire near where I'd changed her.

So then I tried the Kissaluvs which I'd only washed 3 or so times. The pee ran straight out of it and through all the gaps in the wrap. Think I'll need to wash them about 40 times.

Desperate to try flexitots by Tots Bots now - going to get her one to try at the weekend!

It's a good job she looks so cute in her cloth bum!!

aww bless her thomas has been in his kissaluvs as its the only thing that fits him at the moment with him being so tiny, mine were well preloved though so containment was quite good

make sure the wraps are tight.. babys wee comes right thro the nappy fabric.. and the wraps need to be tight around the legs to contain leaks.. ive had edward on my la in just a nappy ad felt a warm sensation and he had weed and it goes right thro with no wrap on or the wrap not on properly.. 4 washes is fine tbh.. the more u wash the better they get.. make sure ur not using fabric softner..but after 3 washes they should be absorbant enough to work. good luck and dont give up lol..

As Lisa said make sure the wraps are tight! and poke all the nappy inside to prevent leaks

I have some tots bots that I got from a friend - u are more than welcome to try them and the Little Lamb ones I use if u want

are you using the flushable liners? They are great for catching the terdies
